Elder Ashcroft has been called to serve in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. His mission will include about 81% maine, 64% New hampshire, 61% Vermont, 34% New York, and 35% Massachusetts. His temple district is Boston, Massachusetts. He reports on March 17. We are all very excited and very very jealous! We were looking at pictures of his mission area and it is absolutely gorgeous!!

Smartie Pants

For the past couple weeks Cooper has been really onary, and decided that he doesnt want to nap anymore. This makes him REALLY cranky, and he just whines and rubs his eyes. So the other day my mom was babysitting, She was also having a relief society meeting at her house, and making handouts for the RS Christmas party. She really needed him to lay down and take a nap so she could get her stuff down. She put him on the couch and gave him a bottle. He refused the bottle. So she decided to try and give him a bottle of water. He happily took the water and and chewed on the nipple. He talked and played for about 20 minutes she said, and then he was really quite for about 45 minutes. She thought he had fallen asleep. He then started talking again so she went over to check on him and found....
A soaken wet baby, couch, and blanket
An empty bottle down by his feet
and a bottle nipple above his head
She did not take a picture of this and I was really upset about that, but I did sit on the wet couch and that wasn't too pleasant. My mother also blames the incident on me because she said that she took the water out of my bag and it wasnt tightly screwed on. Even so, I do not know how he could of possibly got the nipple off. I just have one smart baby!

Ellie's Wedding!

Last weekend we went to Salt Lake for Ellie's wedding. It was a very fast trip and we didnt have time to do much. We went up on friday and did a little bit of shopping and then had dinner Johnny Carinos. Kourtni had two big ole' long curly hairs in her food, which was disgusting, but she sent it back and they made her a fresh plate and gave it to us for free, that was good! Saturday was the wedding at the Salt Lake temple. I was so excited to go because I was doing the wedding pictures and had so many great ideas, but as soon as they walked out of the temple the snow decided to fall. We did a few pictures in the Joseph Smith building, which was very pretty, but very limited, they werent really up for outdoor pictures so I was totally bummed! Ellie looked absolutely gorgeous and their reception was really beautiful. That night I was too tired to go out, so we picked up a pizza and watched 27 dresses in the hotel room. I am ready to go back for another weekend and do the stuff I didnt get to do this time, i'm hoping that when my parents take Caleb up to the MTC that Trev will decide he will want to go too!

4 Months...

Cooper had his 4 month check-up last week and here are his stats...

15 lbs.

26 inches long

He is very healthy and has not been sick yet, hopefully it stays that way. He is almost sitting on his own, but for some reason he doesn't like to sit in the bumbo. He lasts about 5 minutes in it before he gets pissed. He has very strong legs and loves to stand and jump. He still hates to be on his tummy, and wont pick his head up. Most nights he will sleep completly through the night. It's amazing! He has always been a good sleep and would usually wake up once or twice and then go right back to sleep, but theres nothing better than 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Hey dad, I wanna be just like you!

Trevs ps3 came in the mail the other day, so I figured I better let Coop get the first chance to play it while trev was at work or he would never get to. Although, he was more interested in his hands than the controller!

A little late on everything...

This month has been so crazy. I've been so busy with work and school that I havent had any free time, and that is why my blog is lacking, and also because nothing too exciting has happend this month.
Cooper is growing like a weed! I cant believe how big he has gotten, he is a big round ball of chub. A few sundays ago Trev was holding Cooper by the stake presidents office, and he walked out and asked where the boys neck was. His cheeks are just so chubby and his belly is so round that you just dont see the neck. Well later that evening we were having dinner at the in-laws and Trev was telling his mom the story and my nephew Garrett was there listening to it as well. Since then everytime Garrett sees Coop he has to make sure his neck is still there, he is just so worried about it, its the funniest thing!

As you can see there is no neck. I love this picture even tho his hair is crazy, he has spit bubbles, and I chopped his arm off. He looks SOOO much like his daddy, and I just love it!

We also tried to do Halloween this month. I was really excited for halloween this year all up until the week of, and then I got really bummed when I woke up every morning and it was freezing cold with snow on the ground. I do not love snow in October, actually I do not love snow period! But anyways I still wanted to dress Coop up because he had the cutest monkey costume, although he did not think so. On halloween day I was really excited because he slept ALL DAY, and when I mean all day I mean 9pm tuesday night to 8am wednesday morning, 9:30am-3:00pm 4:00-5:30pm, so I thought he would be well-rested and happy for the evening. Boy was I WRONG! I had woken him up about 5:30 so we could go to the inlaws for dinner and see G & S. I put him in his monkey suit and he cried from there on out. I only got one picture where he didnt look like he was screaming, just mad so
here it is...
We also dress him up as a frog one day, he did not like that either...
Hope you all had a happy halloween!

Back from Vacation!

Last weekend we went to Salt Lake for my cousin Josh's missionary homecoming. It was a much needed vacation and we had a great time! We left really early friday morning hoping we could make it almost there before Cooper woke up, and guess what....we did! I did wake him up in moad to feed him while we ate, but then he went back to sleep as soon as we hit the road, and didnt make a peep until we hit the first stop light coming right out of the canyon. We spent a couple hours walking aroud IKEA. When we get ready to buy/build our house I am renting a U-haul and getting all my furnishings from there! Which will hopefully be in the winter/springtime! We enjoyed some delicious food from Johnny Carinos, Texas Roadhouse, and Five Guys. On Saturday I was able to take some bridal pictures of one of my very good friends Ellie. We took her pictures at Garden Park Ward. The park was so beautiful, I wish we had pretty parks in Farmington that would make great pictures. **Check my photography blog for the upcoming pictures. They wont be posted until she gets married in November, because she doesnt want her fiance to see her gorgeous dress yet! Saturday night we spent the evening playing miniture golf at boondocks, and I so kicked Trev's butt at it and he didnt even give me any strokes! He said we tied but that was just to make himself feel better. My parents took Cooper for us and we went to Cornbelly's Cornmaze at Thanksgiving Point. I was really upset because I wanted to go through the haunted maze, but it didnt open until Oct. 2. So we went through the regular one and still had fun! We didnt even get lost! We spent all day catching up and visiting with family. It was great to get away and I'm ready for our next trip in November!
Coop and I got bored in the car on the way home...

Chunk-A-Saurus

Our little Coopasaurus has turned into a chunkasaurus! He had his 2 month check up earlier this week, and I cant believe how much he has grown! He now weighs 12 lbs. 11 oz. and is 25 n-half inches long. We are so glad to have a happy, healthy baby.
Here a few things Coop has learned in the last month:

-You have laughed out loud
-You giggle in your sleep and it is the cutest thing to watch
-You follow us with your eyes when we get up to leave the room
-You have learned to sleep in your crib
-You LOVE to play and kick
-You have quite the little temper and everyone will cater to you to make you happpy
-You LOVE your tongue. You are always chewing on it and sticking it out.

I can't believe how fast he is changing. I miss my tiny scrawny baby but I love how he is growing and interacting with us.

Insomnia

So as my boys are both sound asleep in their beds, I am wide awake at 2:42 in the morning! I HATE when I can't sleep, and I know that when I finally fall asleep Coop will wake up, which means I will probably be pulling an all nighter... In the meantime here is a pic of mr. man sound
asleep...

Blessing Day

Growth Chart...

So we are hoping that one day Cooper will not take after his parents and be short. Instead we are hoping that he will take after his Aunt Kourtni or Uncle Tarren and be on the Tall side. So we have decided to use Kourt as his growing chart and keep track of his progress...

here coop is about 2-3 weeks old and he measures just past kourts shoulder. In the future we will be more precise and stretch coops legs fully out but at the time this was taken I was to lazy to get off the couch and do it.

Our Coopster is One Month Old!!!!

Coop turned one month old last thursday!! I cant believe how fast and how much he has grown! Here are a few things about our little man...

---He HATES his crib!
---He is a wonderful sleeper!

---He is a snuggler
---He Loves baths in the tummy tub.

---He has a special "I'm going to poop" face or "I just pooped" face and its so stinkin cute!

(the poop face)

---He does not like to be wrapped up tight in blankets. He will kick and wiggle until his arms and legs are free.

---He has very strong legs which he uses to his advantage to wiggle himself away from me when I am trying to put lotion on him, get him dressed, or change his diaper.
---He can use his legs to rotate himself in circles
---He LOVES Motion!!! Especially his swing!

He is changing so much from day to day I cant believe it!

(3 weeks old. He looks so grown up I Love this pic!)
